The mission of Fellowship Baptist Church is simply to accomplish the mission of God. The mission of God is found only in the pages of His Bible. God's mission on this earth is to establish a kingdom of “true worshipers” that receive His love and love Him in return. God has revealed His love for His creation by redeeming it through the blood sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ. This is often referred to as the grace of God. Through this grace, God has made a way for man to love and worship Him in return. God is willing to accept the death of His Son in exchange for the penalty of death that every man has earned because of his sin.
The redemption of God's creation is not the mission of God, but a means by which He can have what he originally desired: a kingdom of true worshipers. (John 4:23-24, Ephesians 1:3-6) God began His redemptive work after sin was introduced into His creation. This has been a work of grace from the very beginning, as he chose a man named Abraham to be the father of the nation Israel (the Jews), that would be used to produce the Savior of the world. The Jews were chosen by God to reveal His redemptive plan to the rest of the world, that all should be saved, but the pride of their hearts kept them from accomplishing the mission. Therefore, God revealed a mystery that He had known all along. He would take His Spirit and put it into the hearts of men and use them to reveal His plan to the world. This mystery is called the body of Christ and is revealed through the local Church.(Ephesians 3:3-7) It is this mission of the kingdom for which God has brought Fellowship Baptist Church into existence. The church, with its many members, has been formed by God to properly display the wonders of Christ to a world that does not know Him, in hopes that they will choose to accept the gift of love, which is the Lord Jesus Christ. We are to bring the new converts into the fellowship of believers, through baptism, into membership of the local church. And we are to teach them to practice the commands of the Lord, making them true worshipers of their God and Creator. (Matthew 28:18-20)
"Fellowship Baptist exists to glorify God by equipping gospel centered disciples and connecting them to the mission of Christ both at home and around the world."
